Colin wrote:


"It began on the train to Dover where we stayed the night. Then having had coffee with Derek Orgill at Pelosi's we left for Ostend. There we found everyone driving on the wrong side of the road.


"The route was: Ostend to the tip of Holland. A short way in Holland to meet the Rhine then turn right and follow the Rhine to Koblenz where the Mosel joined it. Turn right again and follow the Mosel (all uphill and raining) as far as Luxembourg then turn right again and travel through Belgium to Brussels.


"We stayed two nights in Brussels to visit the World Fair then continued to Ostend and back home, arriving in Swindon in the early hours."
